SynthEyes will sometime display technical error messages on the status line, where they may be quickly overwritten by mouse-tracking messages. You can check on these more significant messages by looking in your File/User Data Folder for the SynthEyes_error_log.txt file.
Particular areas of focus: advanced file reading systems, OpenGL.
